Rare circa-1950s Walt Disney Productions Pinocchio ceramic shelf-sitter figurine, made and individually hand painted in Japan. Measures approximately 3” tall x 2.25” wide.
This small flatback figure features Pinocchio seated with his classic yellow shirt, blue-green bow tie, red shorts and brown hat. The underside is marked © Walt Disney Productions and retains a JAPAN label.
Ten examples were found together, with visible variations in facial details, brushwork, color placement and glaze, consistent with individually hand-finished production.
